Mike Hughes joins the Firm’s Civil Litigation Section with over 30 years of litigation experience. For many years he was Chief of the Civil Trial Section for the City of St. Louis. He has been lead counsel in over 100 jury trials in state and federal courts defending premises liability cases, vehicular accidents, medical malpractice, employment law, municipal and police civil liability lawsuits. He has briefed and argued cases before the Missouri Court of Appeals, the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, and has briefed a case before the United States Supreme Court.

Mr. Hughes is a regular speaker at medical malpractice, premises liability and trial technique seminars. He has co-authored an article in the St. Louis Bar Journal and authored an article in the Municipal Attorney Journal.

Mr. Hughes’ outside interests include his family, jogging, travel, the theatre and St. Louis sports teams.
